"I can’t imagine a better personal trainer than Lisa. I started training with her to boost my fitness and get advice about how to recover from a shoulder injury. I am sticking with her, now in group sessions, because she makes exercise fun and effective. Lisa is positive, pragmatic and professional to work with. She invested herself in my efforts to get fitter, stronger and healthier and I ended my six months of PT with extremely pleasing results. Lisa kept me motivated with humour and encouragement and also insisted on the importance of what I did between sessions, in my daily life. "I asked Lisa to help me out of a training rut and she's delivered on every front. She knows her stuff but more than that she is supportive, highly observant and figured out very quickly how to get the best from me. I can't recommend her enough.
 
I've been training for endurance challenges for the last 15 or so years, completing many triathlons (sprint distance through to ironman), marathon swims, bike tours and recently the Enduroman Arch2Arc (87 mile run, followed by a channel swim and 181 mile bike ride). My training has involved long hours of swimming, cycling and running but for the last year or so I'd felt I'd stopped making forward progress and was even losing fitness. Mentally and physically I needed a shake-up. So after a chance conversation with Lisa I started a 7 week block of weekly sessions to improve my strength and increase my lactic acid threshold in preparation for a 2 month cycle tour.
 
Lisa gained my trust very quickly. She patiently went through my history, suggested some tweaks to my lifestyle and took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. In our weekly sessions she picked up on my 'problem areas' immediately and suggested ways to improve movement patterns I've always struggled with. No stone was left unturned as her attention to detail was incredible. And it was a lot of fun. Every week we used different equipment, had a laugh and time flew by. She challenged my ideas and I always went away with something to think about. Her approach was very clear, no nonsense and highly supportive. I felt she really cared about my goals and helped me get the best from myself, she understood me.
 
I didn't know what to expect from just 7 weeks of coaching with Lisa and have been gobsmacked by the results. My strength and speed have improved way beyond what I would have thought possible, I've lost a couple of inches in the process and, best of all, I am now full of enthusiasm again and can see a way forward in the sports I love. I'm training way more effectively and have more time for other areas of my life. Lisa is just brilliant and I can't wait to pick up again when I get back from my bike tour. "I signed up for sessions with Lisa after failing abysmally to get myself back into shape after having my son (the weight doesn't just fall off with breastfeeding). From the start it was clear she was going to be great! After our first session, she sent me a HUGE document outlining my fitness stats and built a plan that would give me the results I was looking for (weight loss and toning).

Lisa was flexible and able to work around my need to bring my son to some sessions and each one was varied and fun in a way that I didn’t expect personal training to be.

The results I achieved in 3 months were really shocking. I thought I would lose some weight but I dropped 15cm from my tummy - my mum thought my before and after pics were photoshopped!

​The best bit for me though is how fun the sessions were. They were challenging but Lisa always encouraged me to go beyond my own expectations and I’m so pleased with the experience and the results. I can’t recommend her enough."

"After having a baby I had no idea where to start to reconnect with my body and get fitter. Lisa made sure she understood my goals and really motivated me by making every session fun and different. The hour always flew by! We also regularly included my little one to keep her entertained too.

She corrected my positioning to make sure I worked the right muscles and gave me loads of advice to make long term changes. Our sessions were great to boost my mood too!

What sets her apart is her knowledge and passion for what she's doing. Lisa talks you through each exercise, explaining which muscle groups are working and what sensation you should be looking for; this makes the techniques she uses easily replicable at home, with a depth and breadth of moves that means it never gets boring.
 
Every session is different and, for a PT novice like me, she's introduced me to an array of new equipment and exercises I’d never heard of but are now firm favourites. Lisa places a big emphasis on strength, working muscles across your whole body. My personal highlights have been the boxing and balance sessions, but we've also used HIIT, free weights, resistance bands and Swiss balls. Many of her exercises don’t even require equipment and she also shows you how to use your body to add your own extra resistance so, as your strength and confidence increase, you can make the exercises reflect your goals and experience.
 
After the initial sessions, I immediately booked more and Lisa worked with me to think about other changes I could make to feel healthier and happier. She considered my existing physical conditions and tailored her advice and training to suit me best. She's taught me about diet, sleep and even how I can adjust my busy working day (I work as a nurse) to help me feel better, both physically and mentally.
 
Lisa is an exceptional trainer and I really can’t recommend her enough. It’s been an amazing start to the year and has kick-started real changes across my life."

"One of the many great things about training with Lisa is how strong and fit you become almost without realising. I astonished myself recently by running around a football pitch with my 9 year old nephew for a solid half hour without any difficulty!
 
I've had several personal trainers over the years and Lisa is without doubt the best I've ever worked with. There is nothing she doesn't know about how the body works - she has a 1st class degree in biology and the top score in her personal training qualification. I'm always amazed at how many different parts of the body she can work in a single exercise. 
 
Lisa spends considerable time planning the sessions in advance to tailor each exercise to your strength and fitness levels. She watches you like a hawk, and is so highly attuned to what your body is capable of that she knows exactly how far she can push you to get maximum effect from the time you spend with her.
 
Lisa is so on top of her game that she can instantly adjust her plan if you turn up feeling a bit under the weather or just wanting a different type of exercise. In a year of training I have never had the same session twice. 
 
Lisa has a deceptively light touch approach - I'm often surprised at how properly worked out I feel at the end of a session. I always leave with a smile on my face and looking forward to the next one. I didn't think I could get so fit having so much fun! The best value PT in London in my view."

Lisa is the most knowledgeable trainer I've worked with. She’s taught me so much about how my body works and I've been able to feed this knowledge into all aspects of my training. She’s also flexible and astute enough to recognise a 'bad day' and help me turn it into a good one. My mental state as much as physical has been boosted on more than one occasion!

​"I started having sessions with Lisa back in June; before this I'd been confined to yoga and Pilates for exercise due to a very weak ankle from a long-time injury. This meant I was unable to do high impact or running and had suffered pulled calf muscles due to the weakness of the ankle. I also had lower back pains aggravated by picking up young children and felt I wasn’t able to be a part of a lot of classes at the gym.

Lisa tailors each session according to your capabilities and in my case injuries - what I needed to work on and strengthen. She also tailors the sessions to what you enjoy and has a huge range of equipment and games to make them enjoyable, including medicine balls, boxing, Swiss ball and resistance bands.

After 5 months, I’m not only fitter and have lost body fat, but stronger and more confident in my abilities. Lisa also makes each session fun too, big shout out to her, and she does group sessions too!"

​"I trained with Lisa once a week for a year and gained significantly in strength and general fitness over that time. Although my body shape changed, it probably would have been more significant if I'd taken up the nutrition advice that was offered and included (on more than one occasion!). More importantly, I have a long term back injury which Lisa was very mindful of, ensuring my posture and positioning were correct and helping me build up strength slowly instead of my default 'all or nothing' approach to fitness. This has meant that when I'm training on my own I know how to correct myself to do exercises safely. I've gained more confidence too and am happy to participate in any gym class now from boxing to barre (I've moved abroad so can no longer take Lisa's bootcamp or PT). 
 
No two weeks were the same even after a year which kept up the interest and motivation. It was great to be outside and enjoy the changing seasons of Tooting Common. Lots of layers in winter, but Lisa soon made sure I was warm! She was fun to work with, very flexible over changing session times to suit me and has continued to motivate and encourage me even after the PT finished.

"After having kids it was hard to get motivated back into exercise. I was busy and tired all the time and just couldn't fit it into my life. Lisa helped me find a way to get fit and healthy again by cutting out things I didn't need to do and focusing more on me as a person rather than just a Mum.

That 'me' time has meant I've lost all the inches off my waist and hips I thought were there for good. I'm in great shape and probably even fitter that I was before! It really helps that whenever I have a question about my diet or activity Lisa is really quick to respond by email or even with a call in between sessions. It never feels like I’m doing this on my own.
 
She takes me further that I think I can ever go, and always with encouraging words and a smile - I surprise myself at just how much I can achieve. It’s the best use of my time and has been brilliant in helping me feel like the old (young) me again."

"I was looking for a new PT and even at our initial trial session Lisa had a passion for what she did, and an interest in what I personally wanted to achieve (which most other PTs I trialled failed on).

Our sessions have been varied, fun, challenging and encouraging which means I walk away with a sense of achievement after every session – and feel the benefits/burn for a few hours later! She has not only focused on what we do during our sessions which she has tailored to my goals, but also given me invaluable tips to improve on my running goals.

I have to admit was a bit 'daunted' by setting goals and reviewing my lifestyle, but it wasn’t as scary or intense as I felt it would be and it has made all the difference with enabling me to maintain my activity levels outside our sessions.

I now am beginning to see a change in how I think about exercise which has not happened before which has given me confidence in my abilities.

"Lisa is friendly, supportive, knows her stuff and genuinely cares about me and what I want to achieve. She’s made the effort to understand my lifestyle and personality, guides me towards realistic goals then instils the self-belief I need to reach them. Our sessions are varied and challenging - I would never push myself that much on my own! We chat and laugh through them though so they go by really quickly, even though I can feel how hard I’ve worked each time.

She suggests practical ways I can improve health, fitness and nutrition outside the sessions and is always on hand with an encouraging text or email to keep me motivated and back on track if I have a wobble.

Since working together, my posture, strength and fitness have greatly improved and I can now fit into those jeans at the back of the wardrobe I never thought would see the light of day again! Lisa’s great and I would happily recommend her as a personal trainer."
